Studioshaw are a young architecture practice, recently recognised in the Architecture Foundation’s ‘New Architects 4’. In 2017 their founder Mark Shaw approached us for a visual identity that reflected the open, expressive personality of his new practice.
When the time came for them to switch from a Squarespace to a bespoke website we were excited by the opportunity to feature this identity front and centre. How so? With Studioshaw’s kinetic logo drawing itself as you scroll down the home page; with the the ‘S’ of the logo manifest in the menu page, playfully squeezing and stretching across the different page formats; with bold typography which mirrored their confident, conversational tone of voice; and with dynamic thumbnail galleries and case study pages that positively revelled in the differing image types.
The site was shortlisted in the 2021 Archiboo Web Awards.
