Studioshaw is a London-based architecture practice established by Mark Shaw. Mark’s readiness to sketch out his thoughts led us to consider the well-known brain teaser whereby one draws a building with a pitched roof and a crossed centre without lifting the pen. In a way this is a simplistic narrative of the building process, with the ‘X’ giving the structure support and strength. Pleasingly, this brain teaser works as well with Studioshaw’s initial ’S’.
